About the Client

North Star Tree Service started operations in approximately 2013. They had a unique business model that allowed them to affordably cut down people’s trees and focused primarily on residential tree removal.

When they contacted Web Chimpy, they had virtually no online presence except for a (ahem) website that left a lot to be desired.

July 2018: First Steps

We went full speed ahead in making changes to the website and GoogleMyBusiness Page. We developed a plan to get them substantial results within 3 months. Here are some of the things we did:
  • Implemented GoogleMyBusiness strategy by completely filling out the services and optimizing them for keywords.
  • Redesigned website to load quickly and optimized it for conversions.
  • Completely filled out GoogleMyBusiness profile including services, images, keyword optimized descriptions, and other advanced techniques.
  • Created several keyword-targeted webpages and supporting content.
  • Overhauled all technical SEO to ensure all SEO best practices were used.
  • Engaged in a comprehensive link and citation building campaign targeting Local SEO.
  • Worked with the client to get them “Google Guaranteed” by setting up and optimizing their profile and helping them get the most for their money.
  • Implemented a Google Adwords strategy to supplement the SEO and other forms of advertising.

The Result

The results happened almost instantly. North Star Tree Service was ranking on page 1 for many of their target keywords within the first month (and still does to this day) and continues to improve and grow their organic traffic. By month 3 we were consistently getting leads every week, with an average of 75 leads per month at a cost of $35 per lead.

Between the leads generated from SEO, PPC, and Local Service Ads, we were able to generate an average of 75 leads per month at a cost per acquisition of $35.
